Partizan officially issued a public announcement questioning EuroLeague refereeing decision towards them.
Mentioning three examples in the games against Milan, Barcelona and Olympiacos, Partizan asks from the competition to take action.
Per the official press release:
On the eve of the tenth round of the best cup basketball competition in Europe, KK Partizan Mozzart Bet made a decision to officially address the management of the Euroleague with a request to protect its basic right to equal conditions in the competition.
In the first nine games, black and white often suffered due to uneven judging criteria, as well as due to several obvious mistakes that had a great impact on the team’s chances in the final matches. Just some of the most obvious examples are the non-existent foul by Jabari Parker in the match against Milan, the uncalled obvious out in favor of Partizan in the match against Barcelona, as well as the unequal criteria that is best illustrated by the unprecedented ratio in the number of free throws (31:5) in the match against Olympiakos.
During the last few seasons, KK Partizan Mozzart Bet has constantly increased the level of investment in the team, its fans are the pride of the entire Euroleague and according to the ratings of other teams, they create the best atmosphere in the entire competition. The black and whites do not want a privileged position, nor any kind of looking through the fingers, but only uniform judging criteria in all subsequent matches and the opportunity to fight for victories on an equal basis.
In order to protect themselves, the black and whites will in the future require independent refereeing expertise at every game, in order to bring this extremely important segment of the competition to a level that allows everyone a level playing field.
KK Partizan Mozzart Bet calls on its fans not to react to possible mistakes outside of the sports framework and not to do anything that would bring financial and reputational damage to the club. As the best-educated basketball audience, black and white fans can easily recognize the situations on the field, but the Club asks them to focus all their energy exclusively on supporting the team so that together they can achieve a very important victory in the next match.
