After spraining his left ankle on Tuesday, Ebuka Izundu was sidelined indefinitely by Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet on Thursday.
The 29-year-old center was hurt in Round 10 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, late in a meeting with Dubai in Coca-Cola Arena. After returning to Belgrade with the team, he underwent medical tests and an MRI. The injury is not considered serious but carries a recovery process and a significant spell on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Chima Moneke, who suited up but did not play against Dubai after reporting discomfort, is dealing with a groin injury. The 29-year-old forward will also miss Round 11 and a clash opposite AS Monaco in Belgrade Arena on Thursday evening, but is expected to be cleared sooner than Izundu.
The Belgrade outfit also updated the status of Jordan Nwora. The 27-year-old forward, who has been out due to a calf injury over recent weeks, was labeled as a game-time decision for the meeting with La Roca Team.
Devonte’ Graham has also resumed training after an ankle injury late in the preseason, but has not yet been cleared for his official debut with Zvezda.
At 7-3, the Serbian club is tied with Zalgiris and Olympiacos in second place in the EuroLeague standings, trailing leader Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv by one game.
