Fenerbahce and Virtus Bologna battled all the way to the final seconds in their EuroLeague Round 13 clash.
With 72 seconds remaining, the score was tied, but Niccolò Melli’s tip-in gave the hosts a crucial edge. Virtus couldn’t reply on the next possession, and Fenerbahce managed to drain the clock thanks to Wade Baldwin securing the rebound off his own missed shot. In the end, the defending champions prevailed 66–64 in a true nail-biter.
Baldwin led Fenerbahce with 18 points, while Devon Hall added nine, and Tarik Biberović and Bonzie Colson chipped in eight each.
For Virtus, Matt Morgan finished with 13 points and Carsen Edwards with 11, while Karim Jallow contributed nine. Mouhamed Diouf added seven points and pulled down an impressive 12 rebounds for the Bologna side.
With the win, Fenerbahce improved to 8–5 in the EuroLeague standings, while Virtus dropped to 6–7 heading into the international break.
