Crvena Zvezda achieved another EuroLeague win, defeating Olympiacos 91-80 on their home court in Round 13, which brought them to the top spot in the standings.
After the game, at the press conference, Red Star coach Sasa Obradovic was also asked about Zeljko Obradovic’s departure from the position of Partizan’s head coach.
“I sincerely feel sorry for any coach who loses their job. He is one of the best among us, has left an indelible mark, and set high standards for some of us younger coaches. I’m sorry that happened to him, but it’s part of the job, and he will surely come out of it even stronger.”
In the end, although everyone was expecting the first Obradovic vs. Obradovic duel on the benches of Crvena Zvezda and Partizan, for now, it will not happen.
Crvena Zvezda is currently first in the standings with a 9-4 record, while Partizan is near the bottom, sharing 17th place with a 4-9 record.
