In just a few days, legends like Ettore Messina and Željko Obradović have stepped down from their head-coaching duties.
And today, it was Igor Kokoškov who was sacked from his position as Anadolu Efes‘ head coach.
But these changes could not be the last ones, as Maccabi Tel Aviv is looking for a replacement for Oded Kattash.
According to Eurohoops sources, the Israeli team is interested in Álex Mumbrú, who recently won EuroBasket as head coach of the German national team and is fully recovered from his health issues.

Joining Maccabi Tel Aviv would mean a EuroLeague comeback for the 46-year-old coach, as Mumbrú coached Valencia Basket for almost two seasons before taking over Germany’s national team, winning the gold medal in his first major tournament.
According to the local press, former EuroLeague finalist Giannis Sfairopoulos is also one of the main candidate for the Maccabi head-coach position, as the team currently holds a league-worst 3-10 record in the EuroLeague.
