AS Monaco recently received a transfer ban from the EuroLeague, but that apparently hasn’t stopped the French side from strengthening its roster.

According to Athletiko, 14-year NBA veteran Cory Joseph is close to signing a deal with Vassilis Spanoulis’ squad.

The 34-year-old Canadian spent his entire professional career in the NBA, entering the league as the 29th overall pick in the 2011 draft with the San Antonio Spurs.

Over the course of 14 seasons, he also played for the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, and Orlando Magic, averaging 6.7 points and 2.9 assists per game.

If the signing is completed, Monaco would first need to resolve the transfer ban in order to register Joseph for EuroLeague matches.

Meanwhile, he could immediately suit up for Spanoulis’ team in the French domestic championship.
