Diego Flaccadori has been sidelined by EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, following scheduled heart surgery.
Additional details were announced by the EuroLeague outfit on Tuesday.
Per the press release: “Diego Flaccadori has undergone a marginally invasive cardiology procedure, that was scheduled, following which he will be required to rest for a few days before gradually returning to activity, Olimpia Milan announced today.”
So far in the 2025-26 edition of the EuroLeague, 29-year-old Flaccadori has been limited to 3:17 in Round 13 opposite Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv. Overall, his appearances total is 84, including 40 with Milan over the last three seasons. Domestically, over seven appearances in the ongoing Regular Season of Italy’s LBA UnipolSai, he has 1.1 points per contest.
Resuming action following the FIBA window, dedicated to the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers across the globe, his side visits Kosner Baskonia in Fernando Buesa Arena on Friday, looking to build on a current W-L tally of 7-6, which is tied at the bottom end of the Play-In Showdown zone. Two days later, Dolomiti Energia Trento visits Unipol Forum in Round 10 of the LBA Regular Season.
The Italian combo guard joined Scarpette Rosse in 2023. Earlier in his career, he introduced himself to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with FC Bayern Munich, and also logged 77 7DAYS EuroCup games played with Trento. Beyond the club level, he represented Italy in the Qualifiers of the 2023 and 2019 editions of the FIBA World Cup and the EuroBasket 2025, following an exciting and successful junior international career.
