The legendary coach released a long-awaited video and revealed many things that fans were unaware of.
Zeljko Obradovic finally spoke out and explained why he left Partizan.
In the video, which will surely spark much discussion and controversy, Obradovic disclosed his relationship with club president Ostoja Mijailovic, stating that he believes Mijailovic is responsible for the current state of the club. He also emphasized that Dylan Osetkowski was not a player he wanted.
In his address, Zeljko Obradovic repeatedly stated that he was not satisfied with the actions of Ostoja Mijailovic, who also asked him to include a part in the statement saying “Obradovic is submitting an irrevocable resignation.”
“This situation is not normal and it’s not good for Partizan. I also believe that the responsibility for this situation lies with the club’s president, Ostoja Mijailovic, and I have told him that.”
He also said that he didn’t want Dylan Osetkowski in his team.
“I want to tell you that during the period when the club was operating, the sports director Zoran Savic didn’t have a contract, and while the transfer window was ongoing, we met every day at my insistence to discuss matters. I was quite surprised when I received information that, for example, it was decided Brandon Davis would leave the club and that Osetkowski was to be signed. Even though I told the president that he wasn’t the right player for us at that moment, he said, well, we’ve already signed him. So, just to clarify the situation, Osetkowski is not my signing.”
We will see if a reaction from Ostoja Mijailovic will follow in the coming days.
