Donatas Motiejunas has agreed to remain a Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet player for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.
Moving to the Belgrade outfit on loan from AS Monaco in October, he signed a three-month contract, which has been renewed until the end of the season.
The deal was announced on Wednesday.

Starting across all 11 EuroLeague appearances with Zvezda, the 35-year-old Lithuanian forward/center averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.6 steals per contest, helping his side reach a league-high 9-4 record, currently tied with Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos Aktor in first place. In a 4-3 W-L tally in Group B of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, the Kaunas native has logged six appearances, tallying 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 0.3 steals per game.
The Lithuanian big is a veteran of 262 NBA games, spread between his four years at the Houston Rockets and briefer spells with the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs. Furthermore, he has made his way to 171 EuroLeague games and represented the senior national team of Lithuania in multiple tournaments, including the 2014 and 2023 editions of the World Cup.
With Joel Bolomboy and Ebuka Izundu nearing a return, but yet to be medically cleared, Jasiel Rivero also out, and Uros Plavsic being officially sidelined for several weeks due to a shoulder injury on Wednesday, the limited options in the paint certainly reinforce the playing status of Motiejunas. Guards Isaiah Canaan and Tyson Carter are out as well.

In addition, Yago dos Santos left practice on Wednesday with leg pain. The 26-year-old point guard will undergo medical tests to determine the severity of the setback. Therefore, he is also unable to play in Round 14 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, with the team coached by Sasa Obradovic welcoming FC Barcelona in Belgrade Arena on Friday.
