Xabi Lopez-Arostegui has been placed on the injury list of Valencia due to a muscle injury in his right leg.
The EuroLeague outfit updated the status of the 28-year-old forward on Wednesday.
Per the press release: “Valencia Basket forward Xabi López-Arostegui had to leave Monday’s practice session, and medical tests have confirmed a muscle injury in his right leg.
Xabi will miss the upcoming games for our men’s team. His recovery will determine when he can return to practicing with the rest of his teammates.”

In his third campaign in Europe’s premier club competition, all with the Taronges, the Getxo native has logged five appearances off the bench, tallying 0.4 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.2 steals per contest. In total, he has played 61 EuroLeague games, besides 70 appearances in the 7DAYS/BKT EuroCup, including an All-EuroCup Second Team nod in the 2024-25 season, and four Basketball Champions League games. Beyond the club level, a successful career with the senior national team of Spain is highlighted by a gold medal in EuroBasket 2022.
On the road to face Panathinaikos Aktor in Round 14 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, Braxton Key is dealing with a minor right knee injury. It remains unclear whether the 28-year-old combo forward will be available for Friday’s contest in Telekom Center Athens.
At 8-5, the team coached by Pedro Martinez is tied with four other teams in fourth place in the standings, one game behind co-leaders Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, and Panathinaikos.
