A FIBA break might have been exactly what Maccabi Tel Aviv needed.

After the national team games, the Israeli club picked up its fourth win of the season.

Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Zalgiris Kaunas 65–83, completely dominating the game against one of the hottest teams in Europe.

Lonnie Walker IV returned to Kaunas and finished the game in what used to be his home court as the top scorer with 23 points. Jaylen Hoard (16 p.) was also huge, as was Iffe Lundberg, who added 10 points in his second game with Maccabi.

Only Sylvain Francisco (13 p.) and Ignas Brazdeikis (10 p.) scored in double figures for Zalgiris, but their contributions were far from enough.

The first half ended with a one-sided show: Maccabi Tel Aviv was already leading by 21 after the first twenty minutes.

Despite a strong third quarter (16–9) that gave the home team some hope, Maccabi responded with five straight points from Lonnie Walker, who took charge of sealing the win for the visitors.
