After Željko Obradović resigned, Partizan played — and won — two games under interim head coach Mirko Ocokoljić.
According to Meridian Sport, the club has found a permanent solution, as former Valencia, Baskonia, and Barcelona coach Joan Peñarroya is expected to take over.
The two sides have reportedly reached an agreement, with the Spanish coach set to sign a contract that will keep him on the Belgrade team’s bench until the summer of 2027.
Peñarroya began the season with Barcelona but parted ways with the Catalan side in November, after Xavi Pascual took over.
The 56-year-old tactician previously coached Andorra, Manresa, and Burgos, winning two Basketball Champions League titles with Burgos.
