Olympiacos loses a key rotation piece

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

Olympiacos has suffered a major blow with the loss of one of its key players.

Tyson Ward has been diagnosed with bone edema in the anterior part of the lateral tibial condyle, and the medical staff of Olympiacos estimates that he will be sidelined for approximately four weeks.

The left-handed forward had not missed a single game for Olympiacos so far and was averaging nearly 20 minutes per contest, with 7.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

Given that Shaquielle McKissic is also currently injured, Giorgos Bartzokas will certainly give more minutes to Kostas Papanikolaou, while Evan Fournier will also play at the “three,” as often happens so that he can share the court with Tyler Dorsey.

We may also see, depending on the situation, the frequently tested — and often successful — lineup with Alec Peters at the “three” and Sasha Vezenkov at the “four.”
