Maccabi Tel Aviv recorded a win in Round 16 of the EuroLeague, as they beat Dubai 97–95 away, behind closed doors.

A fantastic game in Dubai was decided after a crazy finish, and the visitors’ win was secured by Oshae Brissett, with a dunk four seconds before the end, after an excellent assist from Iffe Lundberg.

Maccabi led for most of the game. It looked over when Oded Kattash’s team was up by +17 (77–60), but Dubai came back into it. The fact that Lonnie Walker was ejected six minutes before the end also helped the hosts.

The visitors were up 95–89 entering the final minute, but McKinley Wright IV scored six straight points to bring his team level. Still, there was enough time: Lundberg drove past Davis Bertans and dropped the ball off to Brissett for the dunk. Those were actually the first points of the former NBA player in the game.

The home team had little time left and no time-out, so Wright had to take a tough shot, but he could not convert.

The top scorer for the winning side was Jaylen Hoard with 21 points and six rebounds, Roman Sorkin added 17, Lonnie Walker 14, and Iffe Lundberg contributed 13 points.

On the other side, McKinley Wright IV was excellent again with 26 points, ten assists and seven rebounds, Justin Anderson added 18, and Filip Petrusev 15, for a team that was once more without Dwayne Bacon, Dzanan Musa, Nate Mason and Klemen Prepelic.

Maccabi is now at 6–11 and will host Valencia next. Dubai stands at seven wins and ten losses, and in three days they will visit Anadolu Efes.
