In Round 20 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, FC Barcelona is set to welcome Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv in Palau Blaugrana behind closed doors.

The fixture is scheduled to be played on January 6.

The decision to prohibit fans from entering the venue was announced by the Catalan giant on Wednesday.

Per the press release: “FC Barcelona hereby announces that the game corresponding to Round 20 of the EuroLeague, in which the team is due to face Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv at the Palau Blaugrana on 6 January, will be played behind closed doors.

The club has taken this decision following the relevant assessment linked to the match being classified as High Risk, and this has been communicated to the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan police force) with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of everyone involved, as well as the proper running of the event, in line with measures already adopted by other EuroLeague teams this season.

The club will refund the proportional amount of the ticket to all basketball season-ticket holders for the 2025–2026 season, with the option for this amount to be deducted from the renewal of next season’s season ticket.

In the case of individual ticket purchases, the club will refund the full amount.”

Improving to 11-5 with four wins in a row, the team coached by Xavi Pascual is currently tied with Valencia in second place of the EuroLeague standings. At 6-10, Maccabi is three games away frm the Play-In Showdown zone.
