ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne edged Bayern Munich 76–74 in a thrilling contest that was decided on the final possession.
Thomas Heurtel led the way for the hosts with 15 points, while Glynn Watson added 14, helping ASVEL improve to a 4–12 record.
For Bayern, Spencer Dinwiddie once again paced the team with 15 points, but the Munich side fell to 5–11 in the standings. A
fter a tightly contested first half that ended 42–38, Bayern appeared to take control early in the third quarter.
The visitors went on an impressive run and built a commanding 65–45 lead early in the fourth.
However, ASVEL refused to fold. A late 10–2 surge sealed the comeback, and Bayern’s final chance slipped away when Johannes Voigtmann missed a potential game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.
