Partizan Mozzart Bet is set to host Olympiacos in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on January 14, instead of Vienna, the team announced on Tuesday.

The idea to organize the Round 22 fixture of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season in the Austrian capital was proposed by team president Ostoja Mijailovic. However, recent developments connected to local authorities citing security reasons, specifically the projected arrival of supporters of various popular teams, including Partizan and Olympiacos, at once in Vienna, have forced a change of plans.

The simultaneous presence of fan groups in the city was flagged as a high-risk situation. The requirement of avoiding any possible conflicts prompted the suggestion to relocate the EuroLeague fixture. Consequently, Partizan moved the matchup to Belgrade, but not to Belgrade Arena.

The usual Partizan home venue is hosting the Men’s European Water Polo Championship 2026 between January 10 and 25. Due to the tournament, other options have been considered for home games in this stretch, including the meeting with the Reds, which coincides with the Serbian New Year.

Heading to Round 18 of the 38-game double-legged round-robin schedule in the Regular Season of Europe’s premier club competition, both sides resume action on Friday, with Partizan facing Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv in Belgrade Arena and Olympiacos taking on Virtus Bologna in Virtus Arena. With Joan Penarroya taking over head-coaching duties, the current situation in the standings features the Serbian side at 6-11, 3.5 games away from the Greek side and the bottom end of the Play-In Showdown zone.
