Svetislav Pešić returned to the Bayern Munich bench following the departure of Gordon Herbert, but it was clear that plenty of work still lies ahead for the experienced Serbian coach.

The German side could not keep pace with Hapoel Tel Aviv at home, as the EuroLeague leaders secured a 72-82 road victory and handed Bayern their ninth consecutive loss.

Elijah Bryant led Hapoel with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Dan Oturu added 16 points and seven boards. Antonio Blakeney scored 12 points and also grabbed seven rebounds, with Chris Jones chipping in 12 points as well. Vasilije Micic didn’t suit up for Hapoel due to shoulder injury.

For Bayern, Andreas Obst finished with 18 points, while David McCormack added 12 and Isiaha Mike 11 points, while captain Vladimir Lučić contributed nine.
