Facing a deadline for players to switch EuroLeague teams on January 5, Olympiacos is monitoring the situation of Tyrique Jones and looking to secure his services from Partizan Mozzart Bet.

By next Monday, EuroLeague sides must remove any departing player from their continental rosters for him to remain eligible for the rest of the 2025-26 season with another team.

In the ongoing Regular Season, the former Xavier standout has been averaging 10.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest over 16 appearances, including six starts. Since his introduction with Anadolu Efes in 2023, he made his way to 82 games of Europe’s premier club competition.

His current relationship with the Belgrade outfit, impacted by recent confrontations with supporters, has prompted talks toward his exit, as confirmed by Serbian outlets reporting on his future over the last few days.

Lacking a deal with Jones but in a solid position to eventually pick him up before the aforementioned deadline, per Mihalis Stefanou of Eurohoops, the Greek side awaits Partizan to release him from his contract.

Under contract, Donta Hall is expected to remain with the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas, despite the projected reinforcement in his position. The 28-year-old big has 6.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 0.8 assists, and 0.4 steals per game over 17 appearances off the bench so far this season.

Olympiacos carries a 10-7 W-L tally, sitting inside the Play-In Showdown zone in seventh place on the EuroLeague standings. At 6-12, Partizan is dealing with a distance of four games from the postseason picture.
