Crvena Zvezda secured a victory in Round 19 of the EuroLeague, defeating Anadolu Efes away with a score of 87-65.
Jordan Nwora was masterful in Zvezda’s victory, as the former Efes player. The former NBA champion finished the game with 24 points (4/5 for two, 5/7 for three), a performance index rating of 27, and he was Zvezda’s key player in Istanbul.
After the match, Nwora addressed the media, highlighting that he is happy to have joined Zvezda, where he can play, unlike last season at Efes.
“We always talk among ourselves about how everything starts with defense. Our game is entirely built on that; once we stop our opponent, things become much easier. Today, I was very motivated. I’m happy to have come here and shown how I can play. I didn’t really get the chance to show that last year.”
Crvena Zvezda now stands at 11-8, facing Valencia in Belgrade next. Anadolu Efes is 6-13, hosting Paris in the following round.
