Olympiacos welcomed Tyrique Jones shortly following a connected announcement by Partizan Mozzart Bet on his departure.
Confirming a Eurohoops report about a contract buyout and an attached deal with the fellow EuroLeague participant on Sunday, the Xavier product was formally released from the Belgrade outfit and signed by the Greek side on Monday. His contract lasts until the end of the 2027-28 season.

Jones, 28, is a veteran of 83 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition, spread between his introduction with Anadolu Efes and the stint with Partizan. In a total of 17 games this season, he tallied 10.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest.
Jekiri, 31, is resurfacing in the EuroLeague after being featured in 111 contests across spells with Fenerbahce Beko, UNICS Kazan, TD Systems Baskonia, and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne between 2019 and 2023. Over the next two years, the former Miami standout suited up for CSKA in the VTB United League.
Penarroya’s side is tied with five other teams at 6-13, in last place of the standings, five games away from the Play-In Showdown zone. Heading to Round 20, the next challenge is against AS Monaco in Salle Gaston Medecin on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas carries an 11-7 W-L tally, sitting at the top end of the Play-In Showdown zone in seventh place, before taking on defending champion Fenerbahce in Ulker Sports Arena on Tuesday.
