Olympiacos claimed a victory in Round 21 of the EuroLeague, defeating Bayern Munich in Piraeus by a score of 95–80.
However, not everything went perfectly for the Greek giant. Monte Morris was unfortunate as he suffered an injury in the 35th minute of Olympiacos‘s game against Bayern.
The American guard of the “Reds” made a drive but landed awkwardly, putting all his weight on his left foot, resulting in him falling to the ground in severe pain. Essentially, Morris twisted his ankle, causing everyone in the arena to be alarmed, with the medical staff rushing to his side. Eventually, the Olympiacos star left the court with assistance.
He will now undergo medical examinations, and naturally, there is concern. According to the initial assessments from Athens, Morris has suffered a heavy sprain and is expected to be sidelined for three t0 four weeks.
Olympiacos finished the double week with a 1–1 record and currently sits at 12 wins and eight losses in the EuroLeague, which is enough for eighth place. In the next round, Georgios Bartzokas’s team will visit Partizan.
