Monte Morris sustained a rupture of the anterior lateral collateral ligament, but there is no bone swelling.

The 30-year-old point guard of Olympiacos is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, falling within initial projections regarding the injury in Round 21 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, opposite FC Bayern Munich in the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Friday.

The Reds updated his status on Saturday.

With Keenan Evans (left leg), Moustapha Fall (left knee), Shaquielle McKissic (thigh), and Frank Ntilikina (leg) already on the injury report for head coach Giorgos Bartzokas, Morris lasted 10:30 in his fourth EuroLeague showing, logging one point and one rebound, before the setback midway through the fourth quarter. After landing awkwardly on his left foot, he was carried to the locker room upon immediate medical assistance.

The former Iowa State standout in the NCAA and veteran of 483 NBA games with the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers, and Detroit Pistons, took his talents to Europe’s premier club competition and joined the Reds in December, penning a deal for the remainder of the season. Since his arrival, he tallied 2.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 0.2 assists per contest, coming off the bench for 60-year-old Bartzokas across his four features. In Greece’s Stoiximan GBL Regular Season, he produced 8.0 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest over two games.

The Greek club ranks eighth in the EuroLeague standings on a 12-8 record, which is half a game away from the top six seeds, which guarantee a spot in the Playoffs 2026 and 1.5 games from the elimination zone. In Round 22, the next challenge is against Partizan Mozzart Bet in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on Wednesday. A perfect 12-0 domestic run tops the GBL table ahead of a meeting with Karditsa Iaponiki in Giannis Bourousis Municipal Indoor Sports Hall on Sunday.
