“Our player Chris Silva suffered an injury to his left thigh during the team training session held on Tuesday, January 13 (today).
Following the examinations conducted at Medicana Ataşehir Hospital, a second-degree tear in the quadriceps muscle and tendon has been detected in our athlete, and treatment has been initiated. We extend our wishes for a speedy recovery to Chris Silva and hope for his return to the team as soon as possible.”
Initial reports indicate Silva faces a two-month absence, potentially returning to the court ahead of the decisive regular-season battles in the EuroLeague.
Silva had an excellent season with AEK Athens, which put him on the radar, and Fenerbahce outbid competitors to sign the outstanding center.
In the Turkish giant’s jersey, he has played three games so far, two in the EuroLeague and one in the domestic league, where he was particularly impressive, finishing the match against Bahcesehir with 17 points and five rebounds.
