Anadolu Efes and Baskonia faced off in a clash between two teams desperately in need of wins.
And after 40 minutes of closely contested basketball, the victory went to the visitors.
Baskonia left Turkey with a 75–89 win, a result that marks their first away victory of the season for the Vitoria-based side, who now hold an 8–14 record.
Anadolu Efes, meanwhile, drop to 6–16 after suffering their sixth consecutive defeat in the EuroLeague.
Trent Forrest (17 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists) was the standout performer in Baskonia’s win, well supported by Rodions Kurucs (18 points) and Kobi Simmons (14 points).
For Anadolu Efes, only Jordan Loyd (12 points), Isaiah Cordinier (11), and Rolands Smits (10) reached double figures in scoring.
After thirty minutes of a tightly balanced contest, everything was decided in the final quarter.
Starting the fourth period at 59–58 suggested a thrilling finish, but a strong opening run by Baskonia gave the visitors a double-digit lead that they managed perfectly, sealing the game with an impressive 16–31 final quarter.
