Crvena Zvezda entered the last period trailing by 12 and ended up getting the 104-96.
Thanks to a great fourth quarter with a partial score of 34-14, the Serbs got a big win on the way to a 12-10 record, keeping Milan to 11-11.
Jordan Nwora, with 22 points, led a balanced effort with Jared Butler and Chima Moneke adding 18 points each.
Moreover, Codi Miller-McIntyre, with 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, was more than crucial.
Shavon Shields also scored 22 points for the losing side.
Despite a good start by the guests, who led by two (27-25) after the first 10 minutes of action, Milan had an admirable second period with a partial score of 30-17, which set the tone for the game.
The hosts entered the second half up by 11 (55-44), and they held on to a 12-point advantage at the end of the third (82-70).
However, everything changed in the last period. Zvezda, with a 15-1 run, got the lead (83-85) and never looked back after that.
Milan reacted and even got the lead back (91-89) after a three-pointer by Shields, but the guests had the momentum and extended their advantage to six points (98-92).
With one and a half minutes left, Marko Guduric with another three made it a one-possession game (98-95). Moneke scored a crucial bucket (100-95), and with 29 seconds left, Quin Ellis made one of two free throws (100-96).
On the contrary, Moneke made two out of two (102-96) with 22 seconds on the clock, and that was enough.
