Since officially signing with Scarpette Rosse in late September, 28-year-old Tote has been dealing with several setbacks, besides also struggling to earn significant playing time when healthy and available, either under Ettore Messina or the current head coach Peppe Poeta. He was eventually deemed surplus to requirements, thus leading him to the exit midway through the 2025-26 journey.
Introducing himself to the EuroLeague, the Italian forward/center logged only one appearance, tallying eight points, four rebounds, and one assist over 17:12 in a Regular Season Round 12 loss to Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv in Unipol Forum on November 20. In the LBA UnipolSai Regular Season, he started his sixth year in the top-flight division of his home country with 4.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest over six games.
A former GeVi Napoli, Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro, Fortitudo Kigili/Lavoropiu Bologna, and RETAbet Bilbao player over the six previous seasons, Tote is a youth product of Umana Reyer Venice and navigated lower divisions of Italy until 2019.
Before making his way to the EuroLeague, he logged six Basketball Champions League games with Fortitudo Bologna in the 2020-21 installment. He has also represented Italy across several junior national teams from 2014 to 2017.
