Bayern Munich achieved a victory in the 25th round of the EuroLeague, defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv away with a score of 79-64.
Bayern arrived in Jerusalem weakened, without David McCormack and Oscar da Silva, and before the match, Svetislav Pesic gave an interesting comment, noting that no one believed in Bayern’s surprise. Yet, the Germans pulled it off.
Isaiha Mike was the best for his team with 16 points, Andreas Obst added 13, while Nenad Dimitrijevic and Vladimir Lucic contributed with 11 each.
On the other side, Hapoel suffered its second straight EuroLeague loss, in yet another game without Elijah Bryant. In his absence, Vasilije Micic had 13 points, while Dan Oturu added ten.
Hapoel started the game in Israel better, winning the first quarter (26-23), but then the home team unraveled. Bayern turned it around, at one point leading by 19 points in the fourth quarter. Hapoel reduced the deficit by the end but couldn’t avoid a convincing defeat.
The Tel Aviv team now stands at 16-8, and in the next round, they will visit Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade. Meanwhile, Bayern has 10 wins and 15 losses, and will next host Paris.
