Gabriel Deck has been ruled out for Real Madrid’s double-game week in the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, namely the away fixtures against Panathinaikos Aktor on Tuesday and Dubai on Thursday.

The update on the 30-year-old combo forward was reported by insider Pilar Casado on Monday. Besides Theo Maledon (right leg) being stuck on the injury list for at least a few more weeks, the remaining players remain available.

“Andres [Feliz] and Alberto [Abalde] have some discomfort, but they will be there,” explained head coach Sergio Scariolo. “The one who won’t be there is Gaby, who, within the protocol we have to take care of him, needs a few days to recover the full efficiency that a player with his characteristics needs.”

So far in the 2025-26 Regular Season, Deck tallied 6.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.3 steals per contest over 24 appearances, including eight starts. A member of the championship team of the 2022-23 season, he has played a total of 209 games in Europe’s premier club competition, all with Los Blancos. Except for his NBA spell with the Oklahoma City Thunder and making his way to 17 games between the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, the Anatuya native has been with the team based in the Spanish capital since 2018, after expanding his career beyond his home country.

Scariolo’s side enters the newest two-game week with a 16-9 record, tied with Valencia and FC Barcelona in fourth place of the standings, 1.5 games away from leader and defending champion Fenerbahce Beko. The next EuroLeague opponent, Panathinaikos, sitting inside the Play-In Showdown zone on a 15-10 record, is looking to bounce back from Sunday’s loss to Aris Betsson in Round 17 of Greece’s Stoiximan GBL, but Kendrick Nunn (ankle) and Omer Yurtseven (thigh) will perhaps be unavailable, with Mathias Lessort (ankle) remaining out.
