The Tel Aviv team shares its perspective on the rumours of playing Valencia outside Israel

In anticipation of a possible game between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Valencia Basket outside of Israel, Itoudis’ team has released a statement to clarify the situation.

The Euroleague’s newcomer made it clear that they can host the game at home. Valencia played Maccabi in Tel Aviv on December 18th. Maccabi played in Roig Arena with only the season-ticket holders on the stands.

Hapoel Tel Aviv shared their opinion on the rumours:

In recent hours, news has been published regarding Valencia’s intention not to attend the game on Thursday in Israel.

From our perspective, as Valencia arrived to play in Israel five weeks ago, and as Bayern Munich played in Israel last week, and Partizan will do so tomorrow, there is no reason not to hold the game in Israel.

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv expects and is prepared to hold the game in Israel, together with our red fans.

We are awaiting official information on the matter from the Euroleague, and if there are any updates or changes – we will publish and share accordingly.
