Euroleague Basketball confirmed the latest disciplinary sanctions on Wednesday.
Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 25 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.
Round 25
Crvena Zvezda has been sanctioned with a fine of €8,000, for the offensive chants performed by its fans on occasion of the game Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade – Dubai Basketball, under Article 29.2.f) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”
The team coached by Sasa Obradovic prevailed over Dubai and followed up with a Round 26 home win versus Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv on Tuesday, extending a streak to five games and improving the season tally to 16-10. Before facing Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv in Belgrade Arena on Friday, the W-L tally is tied with four other teams between fourth and eighth place, namely homecourt advantage in a best-of-five series for a ticket to the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four Athens presented by Etihad and competing in the Play-In Showdown zone for a berth in the Playoffs.
Besides Europe’s top-tier league and the battle to extend the continental campaign beyond the initial 38-game double-legged round-robin schedule, Zvezda carries an 11-4 record in Group B of the AdmiralBet Regular Season, with a meeting opposite Buducnost VOLI in Podgorica’s Moraca Sports Center to close the first chapter of the regional campaign on Monday, before switching to the Top 8 stage from Sunday, February 15.
