Gülten Ataman, the mother of Ergin Ataman, head coach of the Turkish national team and Panathinaikos, has passed away, as announced by the Turkish Basketball Federation.
In a statement, the TBF expressed its condolences to Ergin Ataman and his family.
“We have learned with great sorrow of the passing of Gülten Ataman, the mother of our Men’s National Team head coach Ergin Ataman. As the Turkish Basketball Federation, we wish mercy upon the deceased and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.”
Panathiniakos BC also expressed its condolances.
“Panathinaikos BC AKTOR expresses its deepest sorrow and sincere condolences to Ergin Ataman for the loss of his beloved mother, Gülten. We stand by our coach and his entire family during this difficult time.”
