EuroLeague Basketball’s One Team program, in collaboration with Motorola, brought the Bouncing for Good event to Greece with players from both Panathinaikos AKTOR and Olympiacos in attendance.

Additional details were shared on Tuesday.

Per the press release: “‘Bouncing for Good’, the community initiative developed by Euroleague Basketball’s One Team program in collaboration with Motorola, continued its European journey with a special event in Athens, uniting players from Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in support of the local community.

The initiative took place at the 3rd Primary School of Ano Liosia, located in an area considered socially and economically challenged, where many families face an increased risk of social exclusion and access to sports opportunities can be limited. Through the program, children were offered a day centered on inclusion, teamwork, and basketball values, reinforcing the role of sport as a tool for education and empowerment.

The morning began with an interactive educational workshop led by Euroleague Basketball One Team coaches, where participants engaged in basketball-based learning activities designed to promote cooperation, respect, and perseverance. Supported by Motorola technology, the workshop combined creativity and play, encouraging children to express themselves while developing key life skills.

The event culminated in a basketball donation ceremony, during which participants received more than 100 basketballs, signed memorabilia and participated in basketball drills with the players — creating a lasting connection to the experience and ensuring continued access to sport beyond the event itself.

The donation was attended by One Team Ambassadors Sasha Vezenkov and Shaquielle McKissic (Olympiacos), alongside Juancho Hernangomez and Alexandros Samodurov (Panathinaikos), as well as representatives from Euroleague Basketball and Motorola.

“We’re proud to support initiatives like this.” added Sasha Vezenkov. “Giving children access to basketball — and sharing time with them on court — can have a big impact. Seeing their energy and smiles today reminds us why giving back matters.”

“It’s always special to spend time with kids and see how much joy basketball can bring them,” said Juancho Hernangómez. “Programs like Bouncing for Good show how sport can create opportunities, inspire confidence, and make a real difference in communities.”

The Athens stop is part of the second season of Bouncing for Good, which continues to expand across Europe, reaching children from diverse and vulnerable communities through the joint efforts of clubs, partners, and the One Team program.”
