Monaco recorded a victory in the 28th round of the EuroLeague by defeating Baskonia at home with a score of 102-92.

Mike James was the top scorer in the winning team with 17 points and eight assists, while Nikola Mirotic and Elie Okobo had 16. Nemanja Nedovic also scored in double digits with 12 points, and Daniel Theis and Alpha Diallo each had 10.

On the other hand, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 15 points, as did Trent Forrest. Mamadi Diakite and Eugene Omoruyi added 14.

After a series of five losses, Vassilis Spanoulis’ team finally broke the negative streak. Baskonia had the lead at halftime (46-50), but everything changed in the second half. The decisive moment was the fourth quarter, specifically the three-pointers by Diallo and Okobo, which took the home team to an unassailable 95-83.

Monaco now has a record of 16-12, and in the next round, they will host Maccabi Tel Aviv. On the other hand, Baskonia has nine wins and 19 losses, with the next round bringing them a Spanish derby against Valencia.
