Fenerbahce secured a victory in the most exciting match of the 28th round of the EuroLeague by defeating Panathinaikos 85-83 away from home.

The man of the moment was Wade Baldwin IV, who hit the game-winning shot off the glass at the buzzer, sealing the match in Athens.

He finished the match with 13 points and nine assists, and alongside him, Tarik Biberovic was outstanding, scoring 26 points and hitting six three-pointers, setting a career-high in the EuroLeague. Mikael Jantunen added 11 points, and Nando de Colo had 10.

On the other side, Juancho Hernangomez had 18 points and 12 rebounds, Kendrick Nunn contributed 17 points, and both TJ Shorts and Kostas Sloukas scored ten each.

An incredible match was played in Athens, decided in the final moments. Despite being down for almost the entire fourth quarter, the home team managed to equalize at 2.5 seconds before the end following a bucket by TJ Shorts. Before that, Jantunen had missed a free throw.

However, there was enough time for the visitors—the ball reached Baldwin IV’s hands, and he hit the game-winner from a very difficult situation.

Fenerbahce remains first in the EuroLeague standings with a record of 20-7, and the next round brings them a home match against Partizan. On the other hand, Panathinaikos is in ninth place with a 16-12 record, and in the following round they will host Paris.
