Fenerbahce defeated Panathinaikos 85-83 in the 28th round of the EuroLeague in Athens, continuing their impressive run in the elite competition.
After the match, the visiting team’s coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, attended the press conference and an inevitable question concerned Nigel Hayes-Davis, who became a new player for PAO.
Jasikevicius stated that this signing is a game-changer and congratulated the Athens giant.
“Obviously one of the best players in the EuroLeague. It’s a huge transfer. A game-changer. Congratulations to Panathinaikos.”

It’s worth noting that Fenerbahce also wanted Hayes-Davis in their team, but he ultimately chose Panathinaikos. Last season, Hayes-Davis was part of Fenerbahce, with whom he won the EuroLeague. He and Jasikevicius have previously worked together at Barcelona and Zalgiris.
