Mathias Lessort of Panathinaikos Aktor received a one-game suspension and €8,000 fine for his conduct during the brawl following the tight ending against Fenerbahce Beko in Round 28 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.
Euroleague Basketball confirmed additional disciplinary sanctions on Thursday, including a total of €22,000 fines to Panathinaikos. Other sanctions were issued on Sergio Scariolo, Giorgos Bartzokas, and Partizan Mozzart Bet.
Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary decision pertaining to incidents that occurred in Rounds 26 and 28 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, as well as Round 18 of the 2025-26 BKT EuroCup Regular Season.
EuroLeague Regular Season Round 26
- Mr. Sergio Scariolo, coach of Real Madrid , has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000 for comments regarding the officiating performance Panathinaikos Aktor Athens – Real Madrid, in accordance with Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Mr. Georgios Bartzokas, coach of Olympiacos Piraeus, has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000 for comments regarding the officiating performance Dubai Basketball – Olympiacos Piraeus, in accordance with Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
EuroLeague Regular Season Round 28
- Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with a fine of €7,500, for the throwing of objects by its fans on occasion of the game Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Real Madrid, under Article 29.2.g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Panathinaikos Aktor Athens has been sanctioned with fines amounting to €22,000, for the use of laser pointers, offensive conduct of its fans, the throwing of objects and the insufficient security measures on occasion of the game Panathinaikos Aktor Athens – Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, under Article 29.2.e), f), g) and i) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Mathias Lessort, player of Panathinaikos Aktor Athens has been sanctioned with a one game suspension and fine of €8,000, for its conduct on occasion of the game Panathinaikos Aktor Athens – Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, under Article 27.2.e) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
EuroCup Regular Season Round 18
- Panionios Cosmorama Travel Athens has been sanctioned with a fine of €4,000, for the offensive actions by its fans on occasion of the game Panionios Cosmorama Travel Athens – Besiktas Gain Istanbul, under Article 29.2.f) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”
