Dario Šarić has rejoined the Croatian national team ahead of the second window of 2027 World Cup qualifiers.

Once one of Europe’s brightest young talents, the 31-year-old is currently without an NBA contract and is preparing to return to European basketball.

My chapter with Cibona closed in 2014 when we won the ABA League, but you never say never. Right now, my focus is on the EuroLeague—finding a team and a system that suits me and allows me to adjust after the NBA,” Šarić said.

Reflecting on his NBA career, he added:

There were ups and downs. I couldn’t always secure a starting spot, but I’m satisfied and focused on future opportunities. I hope I can still play at a high level, like in the EuroLeague. For now, my priority is the national team.”

Šarić played in the EuroLeague with Cibona Zagreb and Anadolu Efes before joining the NBA, where he wore the jerseys of the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, and Sacramento Kings.
