Fenerbahce continued with their masterful performances, achieving their 18th consecutive victory across all competitions in the 30th round of the EuroLeague.

The EuroLeague champion easily defeated Monaco (88-70) in a rematch of last year’s final, comfortably maintaining their top spot with a 22-7 record.

Additionally, Thursday marked the 50th birthday of Sarunas Jasikevicius, the coach of Fenerbahce. Turkish giant coach Saras Jasikevicius spoke in a flash interview after the game, adding that he never won a game on his birthday.

“I think I’ve never won on my birthday before. This is a great feeling. Today, my brother and some friends were in the stands. May God protect Istanbul tonight!”

Spanoulis’ statement after the game

After the match, Vasilis Spanoulis, the coach of Monaco, also shared his impressions.

“Good evening to everyone, I congratulate Fenerbahce for the victory. They were much better and healthier than us; unlike us, they don’t have to deal with things outside of basketball. Of course, they have a very good coach, and they deserved to win today.”
