Monaco suffered another loss in the EuroLeague, putting their play-in qualification in jeopardy.
Last year’s finalist was defeated on the road by Fenerbahce (88-70) in a rematch of the 2025 final, and the situation in Monaco is underscored by an incident at the end of the match.
After the home team’s final points, Monaco was set for the last play, but not Elie Okobo. He stayed by the bench, visibly dissatisfied, and then got into a verbal altercation with Mike James, the team’s star player.

The two exchanged words, after which James shoved his teammate. Other players and staff members stepped in between them, preventing a bigger conflict. After everything, Mike James left the court alone following another loss for his team.
Monaco now stands at 16-14, and in the next round, where a win is almost imperative for Vasilis Spanoulis’ team, Monaco will host Olympiacos.
