As Panathinaikos Aktor prepares for Round 31 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, the injury report offers a significant boost for head coach Ergin Ataman ahead of a clash with Zalgiris. Team captain Kostas Sloukas returned to full practice on Tuesday after missing the recent domestic game against Iraklis due to left knee tendinitis. Having completed his treatment, the veteran playmaker is expected to lead the Greens on Thursday without restrictions.

Furthermore, in a major development for the frontcourt, Mathias Lessort practiced without limitations and has a strong chance to return to action for the first time since last May. His presence would provide a vital physical presence in the paint. However, the roster isn’t entirely clear, since Alexandros Samodurov remains uncertain following a leg issue and was limited to individual drills.

The importance of this fixture was underscored by the presence of team owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos at practice. This marks his second visit of 2026, following recent losses to Olympiacos and Iraklis. By posting his presence on social media, Giannakopoulos signaled his personal support.

The visiting Kaunas outfit arrives with its own health concerns. Center Laurynas Birutis is confirmed out with a knee injury, while Azuolas Tubelis remains questionable due to an ankle problem.

Before Thursday’s matchup at Telekom Center Athens, Zalgiris sits tied for sixth place with a 17-13 record, occupying a direct Playoff qualification spot. Panathinaikos, following their recent slump, carries a 16-14 record, hovering at the bottom of the Play-In Showdown zone.
