Dubai secured a victory in the 31st round of the EuroLeague, defeating Baskonia 100-94 in a match held in Sarajevo.

Dwayne Bacon was the top scorer for the winning team with 23 points, Dzanan Musa scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Mfiondu Kabengele added 17 points along with six rebounds. On the other side, Mamadi Diakite had an amazing double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Eugene Omoruyi scored 18 for Baskonia, which was weakened in Sarajevo due to the absence of Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot.

From the very beginning, Dubai entered the match better, and by the middle of the first quarter, they had reached a double-digit lead (15-4). Baskonia threatened several times to come back into the game, closing the gap, but Jurica Golemac’s team always had a ready response, pulling away with an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to an insurmountable 93-73.

The Spaniards managed to reduce the deficit by the end but couldn’t achieve a comeback.

Dubai now stands at a 16-14 record, and with their fifth consecutive win, they are on the brink of entering the play-in zone, as 16-14 is also the record of the tenth-placed Panathinaikos. In the next round, Dubai will play against Partizan in Belgrade. On the other hand, Baskonia has a 9-22 record and will visit Olympiacos in the next round.
