Mike James, Monaco’s best basketball player, will be off the court for two to three weeks due to a hamstring injury, the club confirmed.
Monaco informed their fans about James’s condition via social media.
“After undergoing examinations, Mike James will be unavailable for 2 to 3 weeks due to a hamstring injury.”
This continues the major problems for this EuroLeague team, which played with only nine players in Thursday’s victory against Olympiacos.
Monaco secured this match in their favor with points from Matthew Strazel five seconds before the end, but last year’s finalist still faces seven more rounds in the battle for a spot in the EuroLeague playoffs or play-ins.
The team recently lost their head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, as well as several players, and Nikola Mirotic and Elie Okobo are also off the court.
