Crvena Zvezda achieved victory in the 31st round of the EuroLeague by defeating Fenerbahce on home court, with a result of 79-73.

In doing so, the Serbian team ended Fenerbahce‘s streak of 19 consecutive wins across all competitions; the Turkish team last lost on January 8th, during an away game in Dubai.

The top scorer for the winning team was Chima Moneke with 21 points, Ebuka Izundu added 13, Jared Butler and Jordan Nwora each contributed with 12, while Codi Miller-McIntyre recorded ten points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds.

On the other side, Wade Baldwin scored 16 points, Bonzie Colson 15, and Talen Horton-Tucker 14.

Fenerbahce held the lead for most of the first three quarters in Belgrade, taking a nine-point advantage into halftime (33-42).

However, with great energy and defense, Zvezda got back into the game and turned it around (63-58). The comebacks didn’t stop there, as Fenerbahce tied seven points and started a run with Biberovic’s three-pointer to take the lead (63-67), but Zvezda played excellent defense until the end, scored points in transition, and secured the victory.

Crvena Zvezda is now in sixth place in the EuroLeague with a record of 18-13 and will visit Panathinaikos in the next round. On the other hand, Fenerbahçe is first with a record of 22-8, and on Tuesday, they have a rescheduled 14th round match against Olympiacos in Piraeus.
