Valencia Basket has finalized the contract extension of American center Nate Reuvers, who also holds a Hungarian passport. He will remain with the Valencian club for two more seasons, meaning the big man will continue wearing the orange jersey at least until the end of the 2027-28 season.

In his third season with the team, Reuvers has established himself as a key player in the rotation, particularly excelling in the EuroLeague. He is currently enjoying his best performance in the top continental competition, leading all the team’s big men in efficiency rating with 10.6 per game. He is also averaging 10.5 points per game with remarkable efficiency: 70.4% on two-pointers and an outstanding 43% from three-point range, figures that place him among the most reliable centers in the tournament. In addition, he contributes 3.2 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, and draws 2.4 fouls per game. He also maintains good numbers in the Liga Endesa, averaging 9.2 points and 2.9 rebounds.

The player arrived in Valencia in the summer of 2023 from Reggio Emilia, after developing at the University of Wisconsin, and has quickly become a legend with the team. Thanks to his excellent form, avoiding injuries throughout his time in Valencia, Reuvers has already played 162 games with Valencia Basket, making him the sixth American player with the most appearances in the club’s history. Furthermore, he has made his mark, especially on the defensive end: he is the team’s all-time leader in blocks in the EuroLeague, second in European competitions, and is already among the top ten all-time blockers for the club.
