It was a true battle in the Zalgirio Arena, with both teams giving their all until the final seconds.
Sylvain Francisco sank go-ahead free throws with just three seconds remaining. Mario Hezonja then had a chance to snatch the victory with a three-pointer, but missed, and Zalgiris held on for an 87–85 win against Real Madrid.
Sylvain Francisco was the key player for Tomas Masciulis’ Zalgiris, finishing with 20 points and five assists. Important contributions also came from Moses Wright, who added 16 points, and Nigel Williams-Goss, who recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.
For Real Madrid, which suffered 11th Euroleague defeat on the road this season, Mario Hezonja led the way with 18 points, while Walter Tavares posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Teo Maledon (11 points) and Trey Lyles (10 points) were the other players to reach double figures.
