Olimpia Milano achieved a victory in the 34th round of the EuroLeague, defeating Virtus Bologna in a duel between two Italian teams with a score of 103-87.

Zach LeDay played an excellent game for the home team, finishing the match with 19 points, including five three-pointers. Quinn Ellis had 18 points and seven assists, Devin Booker scored 14, Josh Nebo and Marko Guduric 11, and Armoni Brooks 10.

On the other side, Saliou Niang finished the game with 15 points, Matt Morgan and Mouhamet Diouf had 14, and Derrick Alston 10.

Milano started the game much better, with an excellent performance from LeDay, and Olimpia already had a significant +13 lead after ten minutes (32-19). Virtus managed to come back, fully returning to the game in the second quarter, but it didn’t help (47-43).

Peppe Poeta’s team accelerated at the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth quarter, making an 11-0 run and escaping to an unassailable 87-66. After that, they maintained the lead comfortably.

With this victory, Olimpia kept their hopes alive for a Play-In spot. They are now in 12th place in the Euroleague with a record of 17-17, two wins short of a Play-In. In the next round, they will be visiting Paris. On the other hand, Virtus has long been out of contention, with a record of 13-20, and in five days they will face Paris in the postponed 33rd round match.
