Olympiacos won the Greek derby, but not without some bad news. In a heated game from start to finish, Tyrique Jones had to leave for the locker room in the final quarter.

The former Partizan center went slightly limping to the bench before heading to the locker room. In the victory, Jones scored 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 12 minutes, contributing from the second unit.

The day after the injury, it became clear how long Jones will be off the court. He faces a 15-day break, which means he will most likely miss four games that Georgios Bartzokas’ team has left in the regular part of the EuroLeague.

Olympiacos had no trouble taking control of the game in the first half. Taking advantage of Panathinaikos‘ numerous absences, Bartzokas’s men secured their fifth consecutive victory against their Greek league rivals.

Minutes before halftime, there was an intense exchange of words between Tyler Dorsey and Kendrick Nunn, with Mathias Lessort also appearing on the scene.
