Legendary Serbian coach Željko Obradović has opened up about his future on 24ur, emphasizing that any return to the sidelines will depend entirely on rediscovering his inner drive.
In recent remarks to the Slovenian outlet, Obradović reflected on his career with a sense of fulfillment and gratitude. “I am a very happy man because I was able to do something I exceptionally love. It fulfilled me,” he said, highlighting the deep personal satisfaction he has drawn from decades in basketball.
Currently on a break from coaching after leaving Partizan, the highly decorated tactician made it clear that he is in no rush to make a decision about his next step. Instead, he plans to take time for introspection before committing to anything new. “At this moment, I am on a break; in June, I will talk it over alone with myself and my closest ones – and decide how and what next regarding the coaching engagement,” he explained.
Obradović underlined that motivation will be the decisive factor in determining whether he returns to the profession that made him a household name. “If I decide to work, it means I have found the motivation,” he stated.
