Valencia secured a victory in Game 4 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinal series against Panathinaikos, as they won in Athens with a score of 89-86.

This was the second win for Pedro Martinez’s team in Athens in the last 48 hours, bringing the series to 2-2, with the decision to be made in Valencia next week.

Jean Montero played an incredible game for the visitors, finishing with 29 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, achieving a PIR of 45. Brexton Key added 12 points, Kameron Taylor scored 11, and Jaime Pradilla also reached double figures with 10 points.

On the other side, Cedi Osman led PAO with 26 points, Kendrick Nunn contributed 19, with 17 of those coming in the second half, while Nigel Hayes-Davis had 12 points, although with a 4/14 shooting performance. Hayes-Davis also missed a half-court shot in the final second that could have sent the game into overtime for the hosts.

Another incredible duel was played between the two teams, with the fourth game of the series also decided after a dramatic finish. Valencia took the lead with Montero, who was already in double figures in the first quarter, during which the Spanish team achieved a double-digit advantage.

Valencia played excellently, but Panathinaikos managed to cut the deficit by halftime (37-44), giving them momentum for the second half.

With great energy and excellent defense, PAO managed to turn things in their favor, but Valencia responded and held the lead towards the finish. Once again, Ergin Ataman’s team managed to come back, reaching an incredible finish, and they had a chance to force overtime after Matt Costello missed a free throw. However, Hayes-Davis was not accurate.

This means we will watch a fifth game in this series, and we will find out in Valencia who will join Olympiacos, Real, and Fenerbahce in the Final Four.
